Oh, my! Where Has the Time Gone? August 14, 2016 20:10While we haven't kept this little blog updated, we've certainly been busy like bees building up our stock. We have done the market at Jack London Square, vended at our favorite cheese shop, and even a couple Renaissance Faires. I must say, it's been great fun getting out into the world with our yarn and fiber and meeting lots of new people! Absolutely for sure, you'll see more details about these events soon. Promise. For now, we're working on bringing our lovely new spinning fibers to the online store and at my door tomorrow, is yet another shipment of fibery goodness to dye up. I can't wait!
From the Ground Up November 30, 2015 21:57
Here we are in the thick of the holiday season, working hard to grow this little venture of ours. More yarn is being dyed, we're soon adding spinning fiber, and plans are in the works to have a spot at the farmers market here in Castro Valley. We continue to learn how to do this web stuff and I think it's coming along. A knitter can eventually figure out html, right?
Last weekend, Christa and I made our market debut at the California College of the Arts in Oakland. The holiday art and craft fair was a success and brightened our spirits for some time. We just can't wait to get out again and show off our yarns in person.
In my own news, I knit up a cute one skein hat for my daughter using our Superwash Bulky Merino yarn in her favorite color. She loves it...can you tell?
Launching This Week...Houndstooth Fiber Arts! October 15, 2015 15:00
I feel a bit like a debutante today, being launched into a new world, a fiber world. Where my dress is made of soft, supple, luxurious yarns, all hand dyed and made to look amazing and a bit like a princess with a cocktail in one hand a a pair of needles in the other.
Months of effort on the parts of myself, Christa, and my cohort, Erin, are finally about to pay off. This website is the beginning of new career paths for both of us, and we are so happy to share it with the rest of you. We hope you enjoy what we have to offer, and please pardon our dust as we create this new endeavor.
